They sit in concentric circles around an oil lamp & begin to make the sound: cak-cak-cak-cak. One man is the time beater. Kecak is performed solely for tourists.

These men aren't allowed to get too far out of control. If they do, their kerises are taken away and they're sprinkled with holy water to bring them out of trance
